Team Overview
howard_law.jpgTeam HLM is the realization of American Frank Howard and Australian Peter Law, who have combined their more than 30 years of motorsports experience and professional experience gained from working in the top business executive and entrepreneurial environments to create a synergy of resources that they are confident will yield impressive results both on and off of the racetrack. Team HLM is bringing a fresh business-to business approach to the marketing platform of world-class racing available in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series. In 2006, Team HLM will activate this business paradigm with a two-car effort in the GT division of the series.

Frank Howard
howard.jpgOhio native Frank Howard has drawn on his experiences from his positions within the financial, operational, and marketing areas of the Mead Corporation as well as his own successful business endeavors to develop the Team HLM philosophy that, unlike other motorsports programs, does not rely solely on straight sponsorship for funding. Using the Team HLM approach, the race team itself is not the only focus, but rather the race team works cohesively to support, engage, and fully activate the business-to-business processes. The race track is the place where engineering, marketing, and business skills come together to produce tangible results and Team HLM’s racing and business operations work equally to deliver the best results with precision and professionalism. Howard currently owns Southpaw Enterprises, Inc. a company that manufactures, distributes and sells products internationally to occupational and physical therapists.

Peter Law
law.jpgPeter Law brings over three decades of motorsports business experience to the partnership and keeps on the leading edge of the industry as the president of Garrett Sports Marketing, located in Phoenix, Arizona. After finishing his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Melbourne Technical Institute in Melbourne, Australia, Law began his racing career in 1968 with Roger Penske’s Can-Am and Indy Car series programs. His successes there lead him back to Australia where Peter started his own Australian Touring Car team, culminating quickly in a series championship title. Law returned to the U.S. in 1973 to lead racing operations and drive competitively. Among many successes, Peter managed the team to the GTU class title here at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1973. Law has since owned and operated several successful car enterprises, coached his son Darren to the ranks of professional driving, and firmly established Garrett Sports Marketing. Peter has joined with Frank to fully evolve the Team HLM vision.
